Speaker of the Deputies Chamber Liviu Dragnea on Friday sent a message of condolences to the President of the Congress of Deputies of Spain, Ana Maria Pastor Julian, in which he "firmly" condemned the attack in Barcelona. "We deeply sympathize with the families of the victims and survivors, while praying that they would have the necessary strength to overcome such moments. Our grief is even greater since there are Romanian citizens too among the victims. Our thoughts are with their families. I profoundly regret these times we are living, when the security of our citizens is endangered by the atrocity of some sick minds. We will stick together and we will remain united in condemning such acts and we shall not live in fear," showed the message remitted by the Deputies Chamber to Agerpres.
Liviu Dragnea also gave assurance in his message that the Romanian authorities are working together with the international institutions in fighting terrorism.
