Prime Minister Mihai Tudose said Thursday that Romania should have its own vaccine factory, calling on Health Minister Florian Bodog to work out a plan that the Cantacuzino Institute, a healthcare research organisation, may become operational.
Bodog said talks have already started with the research minister concerning the Cantacuzino Institute.
"We have already started talks over the Cantacuzino Institute with Mr Research Minister. We are seeking a solution that would change the government decision and we will unveil it to you in order to make the institute operational. We will also unveil to you a proposal for its recovery," said Bodog.
"That should be a proposal based on which we can have our own vaccine factory here in our country (...) if possible," said PM Tudose.
